This creature is made from faux fur on a wire frame covered in soft stuffing making him very squishy! His face and hooves are hand sculpted 'sculpey' clay that have been hand painted with fine brushes and quality acrylic paints. Tiny tuffs of fur are then carefully glued onto the face for detail. I painted the hooves with the intention of giving them the appearance of wood. He is fully poseable and balanced so he can stand on 2,3, or 4 feet :3
SOLD- (i made him a little while back and thought i should upload the pics I have of him before I delete them)
I can't believe this little guy wasn't already in my favorites. It's such a creative design, and he's just got so much personality. I'm super curious about the technique you described to put the fur on his face - I've got to try it myself! You don't happen to have any process pictures, do you? They'd be awesome to see.
thank you so much! you should try it! its lots of fun! (a little messy) but lots of fun! I don't have a picture tutorial of it but I shall endeavor to make on in the next week or two to try and help have a lovely day!
HA! I wish! Wood Splitter Lees work is AMAZING! and she makes a fortune from it = jealous lol but seriously, THANKYOU for the complement it means the world to me You should make one! they are a lot of frustrating fun to make! I have just started to buy fur and clay through Ebay and Amazon as it works out to be cheaper than the shops. If you decide to pop over to Australia I suggest 'Spotlight' for fur and well any art shop for clay
